In 2017, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 received certification from the Louisiana Office of the State Fire Marshal, indicating that the fire district meets the requirements outlined in LA RS 40:1563 C. (2) to be a certified Fire Prevention Bureau in Louisiana. 

 

St. Tammany Parish and the Town of Pearl River, Louisiana, have adopted fire codes to enhance public safety by regulating life safety and fire hazards. The Parish of St. Tammany and the Town of Pearl River have adopted the most current edition of the National Fire Protection Association Fire Code NFPA 1 and NFPA 101. 

 

The St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for conducting Fire & Life Safety inspections, fire and explosion investigations, providing public fire & life safety education, offering information to the public and the media, and handling other necessary projects and assignments.
