St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11, one of three fire protection districts in St. Tammany Parish, provides Advanced Life Support emergency medical care to our citizens. Fire departments have long been responding to medical calls and are cross-trained in emergency medical care due to the strategic placement of fire stations in the community. Often, the fire department is the first to arrive at medical emergencies and can initiate care. St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 can arrive on the scene, provide care, and transport patients to the hospital.
